Ben Macdui/Cairngorm

At 1309m, Ben Macdui is the 2nd highest munro in Scotland (1st place going to Ben Nevis). The Views on this hike are magical. Even more magical is the wildlife often encountered on this walk which sometimes includes members of the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd, Ptarmigan, Hare & Bird of Prey. A short walk from the summit gives excellent views into the Lairig Ghru and Mountains Beyond.

We will start our hike from the Cairngorm Mountain Ski centre carpark, a short drive from the town of Aviemore.

The Cobbler (Ben Arthur)

The Cobbler 884m, a popular hike for obvious reasons, its a stunning Corbett, a great gateway into seeing the beauty of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Roughly an hr drive from Glasgow city centre makes for a great escape from the busy city and a great route for any beginner/families wanting to experience the Highlands for a lovely day out.

The hike starts from Succoth car park

Conic Hill, Balmaha

Conic Hill (350m) is another popular route for many families and people wanting to get a daily dose of the outdoors. Located in Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, this hike takes you through the lowlands of the surrounding forest before you start to your ascend on a clear path making your way to the summit of Conic Hill with stunning 360 views.

After your hike their is also the option to go for a easy meal across the road from Balmaha Car Park at the Oak Tree Inn. This hike starts at Balmaha car park.

Can Ban Mor/Sgor Gaoith

Can Ban Mor 1062m and Sgor Gaoith 913m, two stunning summits showcasing lovely views of the Cairngorms, Glen Feshie and spectacular views of Loch Eanaich.

A must for anyone wanting to adventure a little further into the heart of the Cairngorms.

Bidean Nam Bian

Bidean Nam Bian 1150m, located on the south side of Glencoe this stunning mountain is approached from Glencoe car park navigating our way up the pathway between Gear Aonach and Aonach Dubh.

This excellent path makes for great access reaching the summit, at points we will be required to scramble across some rocks and due to heavy rainfall sometimes the path can become quite wet.

Stunning views on a clear day of Glencoe especially the popular and Highest Mountain in Great Britain and the famous Aonach Eagach Ridge.

Schiehallion

Schiehallion 1083m, one of Scotlands favourite hills to hike due to easy access and great pathway. This hike is encouraged for anybody wanting to get a good mix of what the terrain can be like in certain parts of Scotland when hiking a Munro. Before reaching the summit the pathway ends then turns into a boulder field of rocks making it challenging in its own way but definitely doable to any Mountain goer. Wet weather and high winds can make it more challenging but definitely a fun one to conquer giving you that extra momentum for your next Mountain visit.

Ben Vorlich/Stuc a’Chroin

Hike starts from Loch Earn, Loch Lomond, following the route up to Ben Vorlich 984m with the option after summiting Ben Vorlich to then make our way over to Stuc a’Chroin 975m which involves slight scrambling across rocky terrain making it a little more challenging. There is the option to only summit Ben Vorlich and visit ancient standing stones in the area.

Stuc an Lochain

Located in Perthshire, Stuc an Lochain 960m is a popular hike for beginners wanting to reach a summit thats not super lengthy in return getting rewarding views and seeing Lochan nan Cat from above with the option to head back down to the carpark at Loch an Daimh, grab a bite to eat, have a short rest then tackle another munro Meall Buidhe 932m on the North side of Loch an Daimh.

Skill Level - Moderate/Challenging

Forcan Ridge/Sgurr na Sgine

This is a challenging hike which would involve previous experience scrambling/Hiking on exposed Mountain terrain. A very fun hike that is worth the views when reaching the summit of The Saddle 1012m then equally as stunning reaching the summit of Sgurr na Sgine 946m before we make our final descent. Located on the west coast in Kintail roughly 45 minutes from Skye.
